Name:
Rippleflight
Age:
59 Moons
Gender:
She-cat
Appearance:
Named for the markings on her pelt, Rippleflight is a gray spotted tabby with a stocky build. Her spots increase in length the further they are from her spine, hence the name "Ripple." Like most of her clan, she has a stocky build, with broad shoulders and a large, round head, and her short tail makes it difficult to jump and climb while maintaining her balance. Her amber-orange eyes sit closer together than most, but this doesn't seem to effect her vision.
Personality:
Rippleflight was given the name suffix "Flight" for her highly-energized, impatient attitude towards life. Her mind functions quickly and she generally acts on her first impulse. This leaves her with a tinge of impatience towards slower-paced cats, and she seems to posses an inability to sit still, despite Honeyspring's discipline. Honespring's tactics also taught Rippleflight to focus on her goals, giving the she-cat a bit of a stubborn mindset. However, she is wholeheartedly loyal to her clan, which is where her dedications and passions lie.
+ Quick, Dedicated
- Fidgety, Impatient, Stubborn
; Intellegent, Passionate.
~ Excellent at hunting game on the ground, but if she has to leap or climb to catch it, she's generally less successful. She finds swimming to be exceedingly difficult, as her short limbs have a difficult time propelling her stocky body.
Fears:
Heights, Disappointing her Clanmates
Goals:
Rippleflight's main goal is to serve her clan in the best way possible, in the way that she is most needed. Part of her hopes to one day lead the Clan that she loves, and make up for what she'd done in her youth.
History:
Born in late Newleaf, Ripplekit had a content kithood, with a loving mother, Spottedface, and her father, Icepelt, often played with her and her siblings, Tigerkit and Rockkit. But, as soon as she approached her sixth moon, the easy life was over.
Honeyspring was named her mentor. By then, the warrior was approaching retirement, and had little tolerance for Ripplepaw's boundless energy. The apprentice was fidgety, impatient, and all around unwilling to sit still. So Honeyspring came down hard, with strict discipline to keep Ripplepaw focused on becoming a warrior. Eventually, she drew distant from her siblings, and often snuck out to practice her hunting.
Nevertheless, her constant restlessness remained, and Poppystar took notice, titling her Rippleflight at her Warrior ceremony. As a warrior, she openly took solitary hunting trips, focusing on perfecting her skills in solitude.
It was on one of these trips in early New-Leaf that Rippleflight met Nikolai. A strong, wild rouge, the large golden tom had crossed into ShadeClan territory as he tailed a squirrel, and ran straight into Rippleflight's claws. She scratched him up a bit, and he left the territory, but not permanently.
The rouge continued to appear, but never again crossed the scent boundaries - a line he had to respect in order to get the chance to speak to Rippleflight. Soon, the she-cat fell hopelessly in love. How could she not? He was older, stronger, handsome - and respectful when he spoke to her. Plus, the Clan trusted her enough not to question her odd excuses for the weird scents she carried back to camp.
It was Greenleaf when Rippleflight discovered that she would have Nikolai's kits. She sought him out, hoping that he would join ShadeClan and help raise his kits, but he refused. He even dared to ask her to leave her Clan for him! She left him behind, and sent the warriors after the rouge that had appeared on their border. Nikolai's fate is still unknown to Rippleflight.
But the Queen's troubles weren't over - Her kits came early, and painfully. There were four of them, and she named each one: Lionkit, Blazekit, Leopardkit, and Tinykit - Tinykit was nearly half the size of the others, who were all already small. And each died at her belly in the night. Well, all of them except Tinykit, who grew to be a powerful young tom.
After she resumed her warrior duties, Rippleflight dedicated herself to her clan and the warrior code - StarClan had taught her the punishment for breaking it, and she never would risk that again.
