*Name: Gorsefern
*Age: 21 moons
*Gender: Tom
*Appearance: Gorsefern has a tabby yellow-golden pelt with white-tipped feet. He has a reddish-pink nose and short whiskers. The warrior's head structure is broad, with wide-spaced ears and leaf-green eyes. Gorsefern's pelt has slight tabby stripes along his back, but is sometimes considered not purebred as they are very vague. He has a short tail, and his legs are not as long as some other SunClan cats. His tail is white underneath, but yellow-golden on top. The white fur is longer than the yellow-golden fur, making it hard for Gorsefern to groom it, often leaving it tangled and dirty.
*Personality: Gorsefern is typically polite and courteous to other Clans, but his tone remains cool, calm, and collected. He is never overly friendly. Gorsefern vows to himself all the time to protect and defend his Clan even at the cost of his life, but that causes him to take a lot of unnecessary risks such as leading a battle patrol when another Clan has trespassed on his territory without permission and without talking it out with the trespassing Clan. Gorsefern wants to be respected by all cats from all Clans, and he thinks that taking these types of risks will lead him to his goal. Other than his plans of becoming greatly respected, the tom-cat rarely ever feels strong ambition. Despite his efforts to be calm and strictly bound to a warrior, Gorsefern's strong curiosity can overcome his collectedness, leading him to sometimes get in trouble for exploring dangerous places or things. This is also most likely caused because of his illogical nature. Though he dislikes getting himself into trouble, Gorsefern considers it fun to explore newly-found places. Due to his playfulness, he would most likely be expected to love fooling around with younger cats such as kits. Instead, Gorsefern is very awkward around kits and younger apprentices - not knowing what to say or do, acting oddly, or talking to them as if they are grown cats his age. But overall, Gorsefern is a loving and affectionate cat, never mind how old the cat is. Despite his caring nature, however secretive it might be, he is never that flirty or romantic, preferring love by starting at casual friendship; not immediate lunges for it. Gorsefern's secretive caring nature can make it hard for she-cats to see how loving he can be, though he doesn't realize it. But he openly cares for his Clan, and that personality causes him to be very, but not overly, sympathetic to his Clanmates. But overall, Gorsefern is a very loyal Clan cat, worthy of his Clan's trust.

*~ Gorsefern is an excellent climber, due to his unwaveringly determined practices on the Training Tree. His stocky build holds a lot of wiry strength, and he uses that to help him become one of the best climbers in the Clan, even though he's a bit nervous of falling out of a tree. Although, his short legs make it hard for him to run fast and leap high. Hence, he rarely brings back rabbits, hares, songbirds, or large birds such as hawks. However, due to his climbing skills, it is his talent to bring back very many squirrels, groundhogs, and other animals that often climb trees, including the Training Tree. Though sometimes Gorsefern can catch birds that are perched on a branch; when he does, it is often expected for the rest of the Clan to be amazed.
Despite the creek channels known as the simple name 'the Creeks', Gorsefern's skills in swimming are unknown to him. Though he is curious to find out, he is too nervous to just jump into one of the Creeks!
His fighting skills are average, though Gorsefern hopes to improve some of his moves. Due to his muscles' wiry strength, he is a strong fighter, but easy to trick by swiftness and quick reflexes. Knowing that, Gorsefern is afraid to battle, feeling as though he'd let his Clan down by losing a fight.

*History: When Gorsekit was young in the nursery, he became bored of always napping beside his littermates, suckling from his mother, and being confined to the camp. Finally, he'd had enough. Gathering his siblings Greenkit and Dovekit together, Gorsekit voiced his annoyances to his two sisters. He told them he wanted to get a way from camp for just a little while, and come back before their mother realized they were missing. Greenkit and Dovekit agreed, and they followed in Gorsekit's wake as he led them out of camp using a secret exit the three littermates had found when they had explored the camp a few quarter moons ago.
When they were out of the dried-up gorge, the three kits stared in awe at the large field stretching out before them. Just as they were setting off toward a SunClan-scented trail, their denmate Vinekit scrambled over the edge of the gorge after them. At first, Gorsekit and Dovekit didn't notice, but then Greenkit called a warning to her littermates. Gorsekit and his other sister turned and confronted Vinekit, Greenkit right behind them.
Gorsekit demanded why Vinekit was following them. The other kit explained that he had noticed them leaving and had wanted to be with them to protect them. Dovekit snorted, and insisted that Vinekit was too young to protect older kits. Vinekit had raised his voice in an angry yowl, alerting the cats down in the gorge. The four kits dashed back to the nursery before any cat could spot them. Gorsekit was furious with Vinekit and the four cats' useless attempt to leave camp unseen.
Three quarter moons later, Gorsekit was still determined to leave camp to explore the outside world. This time, he didn't invite his sisters to join him, afraid that they would give him away like Vinekit had. The young tom quietly left the gorge once again, this time deciding to avoid the strongly-scented SunClan trail, realizing a patrol could see him clearly through the flattened blades of tall grass.
Gorsekit padded stealthily through the field, comforted by the cool canopy of tall grass. He finally reached an oak tree stranded in the middle of the meadow. Curious, as usual, the young cat tentatively reached up a paw and experimentally dug his claws in. His foreleg was immediately showered by a large amount of loose bark. Startled, Gorsekit snatched his paw away from the tree trunk. He raised his muzzle into the air and tried to view the top of the tree. Gorsekit was amazed at how tall the tree was, and suddenly remembered the elders' tales of climbing all the way to the top of the Training Tree. This must be the training tree! he realized excitedly.
Once again, he reached up a paw and dug his claws in the trunk, ignoring the second shower of sharp bark. He did the same with his other forepaw, and, using all the strength he could muster, hauled himself up until he could dig his hind claws into the trunk. Making sure his hind paws were gripping the tree firmly, Gorsekit reached his forepaws up and clamped them around a sturdy-looking branch. Using all his strength in his forelegs, he dragged himself up on the branch, clinging tightly.
Tired, he turned around on the branch so that he was facing the trunk of the tree. Pressing up securely against the bark, Gorsekit closed his eyes and let sleep drift toward him. As he lay slightly uncomfortable on the branch, a patrol of SunClan warriors headed towards the Training Tree, at first not noticing the little heap of fur nestled in the corner.
But then Marshrunner scented the air and caught a whiff of nursery scent. Instantly suspicious, she crept toward the tree and looked up, recognizing the sleeping Gorsekit. Suddenly feeling amused, Marshrunner quietly climbed up the tree and grabbed Gorsekit by the scruff. The little kit did not wake. The warrior carefully brought Gorsekit down the tree and rested him on the ground. Then she poked her claw against Gorsekit's side, waking him immediately. Gorsekit squealed with surprise as he realized his curiousness had gotten the better of him yet again.
Despite how much trouble Gorsekit had gotten into, he didn't stop following his curious instincts. When Gorsepaw was made an apprentice, his mentor Rockbriar tried to control his apprentice's curiousness and instincts for exploring. His strict rules, watchful eye, and careful guidance prepared Gorsepaw to become a great warrior, everything that Gorsepaw had ever hoped for. As Gorsefern lived through his warrior duties, his curiousness subsided, though it still lived inside him.
Gorsefern tried his best to remember all of Rockbriar's old rules and strictness, but it was hard for him to continue living by his former mentor's expectations. Though he still worked hard to become a great warrior, and his hopes of becoming a great warrior were achieved.
