*Name: Brightblossom
*Age: 28 Moons
*Gender: She-Cat
*Overall Appearance: Brightblossom is a beautiful she-cat with a surprisingly soft and shiny long fur with an orange, black and grey calico design, pink nose and amber colored eyes that are always full of life. Her fluffy tail has orange, black and white markings that almost look like rings.
*In-Depth Color: Brightblossom’s base color is a tortoiseshell pattern with a mix of ginger, orange, black and grey which looks like if nature couldn’t make up its mind while giving her the order and pattern of colors, as it looks like a random mix of overlaid spots and stripes, as well as having some fain tabby patterns on a couple of spots here and there. Most would believe that this would make her look bad or weird, but it was put in such way that it makes her look gorgeous. Over the tortoiseshell base she has a fairly mount of white (Random probably needed fact: Calicos are also called “White and Tortoiseshell cats”) covering her base colors, making her belly, legs, paws, part of her flanks and muzzle be snow white. Her tail is a rare case, as it instead of sharing the coloration of the rest of her body have almost completely regular rings of color, like that of a coral snake, that go in the pattern of white-orange-black.
*In-depth Build: Brightblossom’s build is elegant and slender, and that added to her usual way of walking makes her quite a sight to behold. Her long soft fur makes her look a bit bigger than she really is, and maybe a bit more average instead of slender, but that is quickly balanced by how shiny it can be. She tends to move and stand elegantly without really noticing it, but much postures also make her look slightly taller than she really is.
*Personality: Brightblossom is a calm she-cat that enjoys sharing tongues with her clanmates or spending some time napping under the warm sun, but she’s not of the lazy kind. She is a very good listener, as she’s always willing to hear whatever her clanmates want to say without judging, and if asked for advice or second opinions she won’t hesitate to carefully analyze the situation and say what she thinks about it. She, however, tends to sugarcoat her words a bit too much, especially if her point of view towards something isn’t exactly positive, not wanting to upset the other cats or make them think that what they did or said was wrong. She even can talk to cats that are clearly older than her like if they were kits and more often than not she’ll call other cats “Darling”, “Honey” and other nicknames related to those instead of calling them by their real name, what can go from cute and funny to plain awkward, depending on the cat she’s talking to.
Having her as a mentor can be quite a tricky situation. She knows when playtime is over and will always try her best to train her apprentices and make them formidable warriors once they reach the age. She is not a bad mentor in any way, as she is obviously talented on the area and can easily explain hard topics to apprentices in such ways that they understand quickly. But her biggest flaw is that she will have a clear motherly behavior towards any apprentice, like if the cat was her own kit, and will probably go a bit too easy on them most of the time, like letting them sleep for longer and giving them easier tasks than the rest of the warriors in the camp. This makes the time required to complete the training to be completely up to the apprentice, what can cause it to probably take longer than their friends if they decide to not put any extra effort. This had caused her to not have more than one apprentice so far, as most leaders would be careful on what kit giving to a cat with this kind of flaw to mentor to avoid major issues.
She’s a motherly cat by nature, and though she never had been able to have a litter of her own so far, she would be more than willing to have one, or even adopt any rogue kit that may come to camp without hesitation. Most kits feel naturally comfortable around her and she is more than willing to play with them if they are bored.
She tends to be a bit overprotective over those she loves, especially if they are younger than her, and though she hadn’t shown this with kits yet, I was obvious on how she treated her apprentice, only stopping, or actually just making it less evident, when she overheard another apprentice mocking hers because she was acting like his mom instead of his mentor.
She, however, has a colder side. She may be polite and respectful towards cats she dislikes, but will clearly try to avoid them as much as possible and even ignore them if she doesn’t feels like interacting with them in any way at all, which is mostly all the time unless she needs to. She tends to be resentful and hardly forgets, even less forgives, when a cat does something bad enough to infuriate her. Apprentices and kits hadn’t managed to infuriate her at all so far, as she can’t help but see them as young kittens that are simply learning and can take wrong choices. She, however, won’t let this actions slide and will probably act like a queen punishing her kits until she feels that they learned their lesson.
She isn’t afraid to defend her points of view, though she can be extremely stubborn and consequently hard to convince against something once she takes a decision. She doesn’t likes to fight and if given the choice she wouldn’t even unsheathe her claws or get involved in any fight, but if needed she can be a worthy opponent and wouldn’t be afraid to make the first move.
*+ Kind, caring, good listener, talented at teaching, non-judgmental, polite, respectful, undaunted.
*- Sugarcoats words, soft mentor, overprotective, resentful, stubborn, socially awkward, reluctant to fight.
*; Motherly, calm, opinionated.
*Skill Paragraph: Brightblossom moves like a fish inside the water and isn’t afraid to get wet in the slightest, which is a great help when she needs to hunt, as she rarely can catch anything that doesn’t lives underwater, and if she does is mostly because she was lucky.
In land she’s agile and quick on her paws, but she isn’t good at stalking, and consequently ambushing, and though she can climb trees she would prefer to not do it at all, as it’s really hard for her to climb back down, and jumping wouldn’t help much, as she never had been a cat known for her skills o said area.
Brightblossom would be a formidable opponent in battle if she ever decided to fight seriously, but given her choice of keeping fighting to a minimum this isn’t the case. If her clan had to go and attack another clan she would be one of the warriors that would decide to stay in camp if given the choice.
*Positive Skill List: Swimming, fishing, agility, speed, fighting.
*Negative Skill List: Hunting on land or above land, stalking, jumping, ambushing.
*Average Skill List: Climbing.
*Likes: Kits, naps under the sun, sharing tongues with her clanmates, mentoring, swimming, fish.
*Dislikes: Fighting, climbing, most birds, disrespectful cats, mud in her coat.
*Fears: Losing her kits, losing her apprentices, get killed by a long fall.
Goals: Have her own family and once she’s old enough retire to the elders den.
*Overall History: Brightblossom was the only kit of her mother’s first litter. She was quite an average apprentice until her mentor finally decided to see her swimming skills, surprising her. Her motherly skills were made apparent sooner than later, and she got her warrior suffix because of them.
*In-Depth History: Brightkit was the only kit of a log waited litter, her parents, instead of getting upset by only having one kit, focused all their love on her and spoiled her quite a lot. Other cats couldn’t help but spoil her a bit as well, as she was born during a somewhat though period where kits weren’t as abundant, that and because she was really beautiful since she was born. Brightkit, instead of growing to be a spoiled brat because of that, took a completely different path, wishing that one day she could have kits of her own and shower the with as much love as her parents and clanmates did during her early kithood.
When Brightpaw started to train with her mentor, more than once she showed reluctant to fight, or even refused to get fighting training, and when her mentor decided to teach her to hunt water voles she couldn’t catch a single one. In other words she was far from being a role model for any apprentice. This, however, changed completely as soon as her paws touched the water. Inside the water she looked like a completely different cat, and to top that her fishing skills soon proved to be even better than her own mentor’s. It was like if Brightpaw should’ve been born as a fish instead of a cat.
This almost defined her warrior name, but another trait toped even her outstanding skills in water…her motherly behavior. Even before reaching warrior age she used to treat young cats in the clan like if she was their mother, and more often than not her mentor could find her daydreaming about her future kits even at her young age, even having to answer a lot of questions regarding such topic.
As a warrior, Brightblossom’s motherly behavior only increased, especially when she was given an apprentice, which she tended to spoil quite a lot. If she ever decided to start controlling this part of her personality was because she didn’t want him to get bullied because of her by other apprentices.
Birthplace of Cat: Brightblossom was born during a rainy day, near the water pool. This was because her mother was too obstinate and wanted to fish her own meal even during her pregnancy. It was a good thing that both her mate and the medicine cat were near at the time.
