These are the basic and most generally important rules for this site.
1) Be kind to other members. Here's that old saying, "Do unto others as you would like them to do unto you."
2) No profanity. You don't know how another member may feel about it, and there are lots of young members on the site. Besides, profanity excessively makes you look immature. Any member that is found breaking this rule will get a high warning and might be forbidden their privilege to post for a limited amount of time between a week and a year, depending on the severity of the profane word. However, you may substitute a swear with things like @#*@#&^%#%, but please keep it to a minimum. We still prefer you not to use that at all.
3) Absolutely no adult-oriented or explicit material [i.e. pornography] will be tolerated on this site. Any member that is found breaking this rule will be immediately banned without warning.
4) No double-posting or spamming. Double-posting, triple-posting, and so-on is annoying and pointless. So is spamming. You can't do either of these in off-topic or roleplaying threads.
5) Don't give out your or anyone else's personal information. Despite how security-guarded this forum is, some people could take your/another person's information and use it against them. Your first name is fine, but otherwise is forbidden.
6) Only create one account. If you create more than one, your different accounts will confuse the administrators and moderators and could make a member or staff think that someone else is roleplaying the cats from your other account. Even I'm getting confused writing this.
7) Only roleplay your approved and accepted cats. If you roleplay with an unapproved or unaccepted cat, that destroys the purpose of approving and accepting. You're posts including an unapproved and/or unaccepted cat will be deleted and the author of these posts will be given a warning.
8) You must post at least twice a week. To keep this forum active, we need active members. You don't need to post twice for your separate characters, though. If you're going to be away on vacation or you have no internet connection (or whatever) please PM me or other admin for a heads up. If you accidentally forget to PM an admin, your account will be held active for another three weeks and then will be deleted. If you find that your account is deleted, please feel free to create another one. If you want the cats from your old account back, please PM me or another admin and we will review your authority to claim that you really did once own the deleted account.
9) Please, please youse correct punctuation and spelling. We want this to be a quality site, and punctuation and spelling mistakes definitely won't make it highly-rated. It's okay if you make little mistakes like saying "your" instead of "you're", because we all do that, but please don't merge words (i.e. cameby to sayhello) or make obvious spelling mistakes that you know is wrong but don't bother to fix. We suggest that you skim over your post before you send it so that you can catch any mistakes you might have made. Don't worry, though, you won't get in trouble for spelling or punctuation mistakes, you'll just get a reminder.
10) You cannot have more than twelve cats at a time. Even twelve can be a handful. We suggest making only six at a time, but you can do whatever.
11) If you have more than three cats you must create a profile. If you have more than three cats, it gets hard for you and other members (including staff) to keep track of them. You must create a profile for your cats by then, though we suggest creating a profile for your cats even when you just have one.
12) Please do not post in other members' cat creation topics unless you are an authorized admin or mod. EDIT: Even if you are about to become one!
13) Don't try to circumvent the rules. Do not find/create loopholes or make excuses. We have rules for a reason, and they must be respected.
